Roma, V Municipio, Quadraro, una borgata di lotta e resistenza, tanto da essere soprannominata dai nazisti un Nido di Vespe. Il 17 aprile 1944 il Quartiere venne rastrellato su ordine del generale tedesco Herbert Kappler, plasmando per sempre l’animo di questo luogo.
Nell’ambito dell’iniziativa Scenario Futuro Urbano - Esplorazioni e Immaginari del Patrimonio Costruito, per il V Municipio è prevista la progettazione di una serie di itinerari tematici volti a valorizzare l’area, raccontandola attraverso le sue peculiarità distintive. Per il Quadraro, lungo il percorso espresso in un sedicesimo illustrato, sono stati mappati i principali interventi di Street & Urban Art legati al tema dell’antifascismo e della resistenza. Un mezzo, l’Urban Art, che al meglio incarna lo spirito di resilienza del luogo, oltre ad essere stato quest’ultimo un terreno estremamente fertile per artisti di caratura mondiale negli anni, fino ad un’istituzionalizzazione vera e propria con il Museo di Urban Art di Roma qui situato.

Rome, Municipality V, Quadraro district, a neighborhood of struggle and resistance, so much so that it was nicknamed the Wasp's Nest by the Nazis. On April 17, 1944, the neighborhood was raided by order of German General Herbert Kappler, forever shaping the spirit of this place.
As part of the Future Urban Scenario - Explorations and Imaginations of Built Heritage initiative, a series of thematic itineraries will be designed for the Municipality V to enhance the area, describing it through its distinctive features. For the Quadraro district, the itinerary outlined in an illustrated booklet maps the main Street & Urban Art interventions related to the themes of anti-fascism and resistance. Urban Art is a medium that best embodies the spirit of resilience of the place, and it has also been an extremely fertile ground for world-class artists over the years, even reaching a full-fledged institutionalization with the Museum of Urban Art of Rome located here.
